Diogo Kotscho also was quoted by The Associated Press as saying that is was an “exaggeration” to claim that a decision had been made by the player either to move or to stay, although by allowing Kaka to speak to City he implied that Milan had agreed a transfer fee.
It has been suggested that City are offering the former World Player of the Year a salary in the region of £500,000 per week - more than three times his current wage - but that Kaka wants the club to invest throughout the squad if he is to consider joining.
City were bought-out by Sheikh Mansour in the summer and immediately splashed £32.5m on Real Madrid forward Robinho on transfer-deadline day.
Mark Hughes’s side have had an inconsistent start to the season and currently lie 15th in the Premier League, 13 points behind European qualification and only two above the relegation zone.
